Open auditions will be held to cast the world premiere production of Yilong Liu’s drama June is the First Fall. The show will be directed by Lurana Donnels O’Malley and runs Nov. 8 – Dec. 9, 2018.

Don, a Chinese American, is gay and closeted in Honolulu; the revelation of his sexual identity leads to family tragedy and his escape to NYC. When Don returns home to Hawai’i, he finds his sister engaged to his first love. June is the First Fall is a queer and moving slice of life with interweaving scenes in Hawai’i and NYC, spanning time from the 1840s to the present.

There will be a free audition workshop held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Sunday, Aug. 26, 2018, at Kennedy Theatre in Studio S. This optional workshop is an opportunity for all interested to work with the script and director, learn the best way to prepare for this audition and hone your audition skills.
