In the middle of the Pacific Ocean, on a beautiful chain of Islands that we call the State of Hawaii, there is a family of bears, The Aloha Bears
Our organization, based out of Honolulu on the scenic Isle of Oahu, was established on June 23, 1999 to fill a need in our community for hirsute men and their admirers. Although we are a rare breed among the “Pacific Islanders” we have found that we are very welcome in the local environment and very desirable as mates and partners. Everyone loves the Aloha of a gentle bear hug.
We have a strong bond with our community, our land and our sea. We believe we are all equal and pledge to fight for equal rights for all. Our “ohana” (family) is open to everyone and we look forward to introducing you to our organization and beautiful state.
Our annual Bear Run, LeiBearDay, is Hawaii’s premier bear festival, attracting visitors from interstate/intrastate and overseas to Honolulu to celebrate Bear culture. cheers~

WANG TEN! Whoa — can you believe we’ve been part of the Hawaii community for TEN years now?!
Wang Chung’s Level Up! Wang Chung’s 10 year manniversary is on Monday, September 2rd (Labor Day)! We’ll be open at 12 pm and we’re gonna party!!!
The manniversary is about celebrating YOU, the amazing patrons and ohana that have supported us through the years and allowed us to grow and become who we are today. You’re invited to stop by and celebrate with manniversary drink specials, light hosted pupus by our friends at Gulick Deli, and unlimited free hugs!
Ten years — my goodness. All the amazing memories at both the original location (aka Little Wangs) and now at Big Wangs, the annual summer beach bbqs, all the fun and craziness in the Honolulu Pride Parade, raising over $70,000 for the Honolulu AIDS Walk, drag brunches, to all the singing, laughing, dancing, drinking and good times we shared together and the genuine friendships we’ve made through the decade. You all have made Wang Chung’s more than just a karaoke bar, you’ve genuinely made it into the definition of ohana.
To say #MAHALO, we collaborated with the creative and talented @misteemu who designed these AMAZING WANG TEN limited tees, pins & koozies! To get a tee, just purchase something, take a picture with a staff member, and do a Wang Chungs social media blast to get a complimentary limited edition Wang Chung’s ultra soft WANG TEN tee and koozie and a @misteemu Hawaiian themed pin! We can’t wait to hang and Wang with all you amazing people, and thank you for an amazing ten years! You’re all #POIFECT!
