Kahilu Theatre Community Information and Health Fair Saturday~ June 23 and Sunday ~June 24

This summer, the Kahilu Youth Troupe will perform Spring Awakening. The 2006 Tony Award winning musical is an unforgettable story that explores the journey from adolescence to adulthood. This musical tells the story of teenagers discovering their inner and outer turmoil of sexuality, morality and their passage into adulthood.

We are inviting community groups and resources to provide support and information during intermission and after the show. We are seeking resources and community groups:
• Teenage Pregnancy
• Sexual Abuse
• Suicide Prevention
• LGBTQ+
• Community Mental Health
• Alcohol and Drug Abuse
• Bullying

Please share this information so we can provide a well-rounded representation of the services and resources available to our keiki and families.

“This Is Me” looks are who we are and our state of being. Young voices and old voices take their turns telling you their story through songs ranging from popular music to Broadway musicals.

The Gay Men’s Chorus of Honolulu hopes to make you smile, laugh and possibly shed a tear with our stories of who we are … This Is Me.

Thanks for your interest and patience as we launch the Hawaii Rainbow Chamber of Commerce during the traditional Pride Month of June. We have a special kick-off we’d love for you to attend (and others in the future if you cannot), so please plan on joining us at Gordon Biersch to hear about the chamber and special incentives to join us now that we will tell you about at the event.

Hawaii Rainbow Chamber of Commerce is a 501 C6 non-profit organization whose mission is to champion the advancement of economic opportunities for Hawaii’s LGBTQ+ community and its allies who support equality for all. If you believe in this mission too, join us on Monday, June 25th and see how you can get involved and help.

We will be talking about the benefits of joining the Hawaii Rainbow Chamber and getting a chance to meet each other. We’d also love to hear your great ideas for moving us forward. Mostly, we just want to meet you–so please join us and feel free to bring a friend who might be interested in joining as well!

We will have some exciting announcements with strategic partnerships, educational events, activities for professional growth and special membership incentives at the meet up. We welcome you to come and find out how the Hawaii Rainbow Chamber of Commerce membership will benefit you through Networking, the Member Directory, Business Builder workshops, additional Education & Training, Advocacy & a Voice in the Community, access to the Diversity Supplier Market, affiliation with the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC), and meaningful connections to the community among many other benefits.

Advanced registration is required and we will provide heavy pupu with a no-host bar. There are a limited number of spaces at this event, so please register today and attend if you do so.

Celebration of 3 Years of Marriage Equality

The LGBT Caucus of the Democratic Party of Hawai’i was founded in 2001 – we were the first caucus of the Democratic Party of Hawai’i. On June 26, 2015 the Supreme Court of the United States brought Marriage Equality to America. So what two great reasons to come together to celebrate!

We hope that you will come and join us as we celebrate 3 years of Marriage Equality being the law of the land and the LGBT Caucus’ 17 years of community service and our community’s many accomplishments over the years.

Tickets:
$30 ($40 at the door) – Heavy pupus w/ soft drinks & no host bar

The LGBT Caucus will be using a portion of the money raised to sponsor “X-Mas in July 2.0” for YO (Youth Outreach)

YO is a drop-in center for homeless unaccompanied minors and it is the only service available to homeless unaccompanied minors on O’ahu. Where the LGBTQIA community accounts for @10% of the general population, those that identify as LGBTQIA account for 40% of the homeless unaccompanied minors.

7:50 pm – Silent Auction ends

Dave & Buster’s House Policy: Persons under 21 years old must be accompanied by a guardian age 25 or older with a maximum of 6 persons per guardian.
